Moroccan Cooking & Cuisine
Our Moroccan cooking class tours are ideal for anyone who wants to combine their passion for food with their passion for travel. Moroccan cooking is a delectable combination of culinary influences from the Arabs, Berbers, French and Spanish. Alongside our expert chefs, you’ll learn Moroccan cooking techniques and recipes for traditional Moroccan foods such as tagines, couscous and pastilla. Outside the kitchen, you will explore Moroccan culture through its cuisine as you discover fresh food and spice markets and dine at unique local restaurants.
Our Morocco culinary tour includes daily breakfast, one lunch and five dinners. Four of the included dinners will be delectable meals that you learn to prepare yourself during each Moroccan cooking class.More
Moroccan Cooking Class Tour – Itinerary
DAY 1: Moroccan Cooking Class Tour Begins
Arrive at Casablanca airport and transfer to hotel. Early evening group orientation meeting and optional group dinner. Overnight in comfortable 4-star hotel.
DAY 2: Hassan II Mosque & Drive to Essaouira
Morning tour of Hassan II Mosque and drive through the countryside to the coastal town of Essaouira. Overnight in an ocean-front riad.
DAY 3: City Tour & Moroccan Cooking Class
Morning tour of Essaouira and early evening cooking class. Overnight in an ocean-front riad.
DAY 4: Drive to the High Atlas Mountains
Morning free to explore Essaouira, perhaps take a camel ride on the beach. Afternoon drive to a traditional village in the High Atlas Mountains. Overnight in a hospitable riad.
DAY 5: Explore the Souk & Moroccan Cooking Class
Morning hike to a Berber school and market. Early evening cooking class. Overnight in a hospitable riad.
DAY 6: Waterfall Hike & Moroccan Cooking Class
Early morning cooking class of Berber crepes. Tour of village and tea with a local family. Drive to Setti Fatma for an optional waterfall hike and evening cooking class. Overnight in a hospitable riad.
DAY 7: Drive to Marrakech
Full-day tour of Marrakech, including Bahia Palace, royal Saadian Tombs, Jewish mellah, ancient medina. Overnight in lovely old-city riad.
DAY 8: Marrakech & Moroccan Cooking Class
Tour around the ancient city wall and palm grove, including a visit to the Yves St. Laurent gardens. Evening cooking class. Overnight in lovely old-city riad.
DAY 9: Morocco Culinary Tour Ends
