When to Visit New Zealand

Due to New Zealand’s geography, the weather can be very unpredictable – as with most islands. New Zealand experiences its summer during the traditional Northern hemisphere winter and the summer weather is best from December to March, although it is still possible to experience rain, wind, and colder weather. If snow sports are your passion, we recommend traveling in August or September for optimal conditions.
