Our Sri Lanka adventure tour begins with two nights at a beach front hotel in the ever popular holiday hub of southern coastal town of Hikkaduwa with its surf and beach culture. The hotel is made up of small villas that are nestled in lush tropical gardens shaded with coconut palms and are meters from being able to plunge into the sapphire blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Hotel amenities include a swimming pool, a lively bar and a restaurant, while the villas offer en suite bathrooms, air conditioning and refrigerators. If that’s not enough then wonder down the beach just a few meters and choose an in-style beach hang-up, bar or café that fits your mood.

The adventure tour continues as we head for two additional nights about 20-km further south just beyond the historic Galle Township to the well known and reclusive cove of Unawatuna, where a string of small, quaint beachside guests houses wait. It’s just like having your own private ocean at the doorstep! You can expect to feel ‘right at home’ with the other beach scene travelers.

As we move inland after 5-days ocean-side you’ll be some 75–km from Galle, as the crow flies, and in the foothills of the world famous up-country tea estates of Ceylon! From here it will be traditional tea-estate bungalows made famous by the British Raj and offering comfort with captivating views across lakes and pristine vibrant green tea fields ready for plucking and views all the way to Sri Pada (Adams Peak) that was summited just a day earlier.

The last full day offers another change of scenery as we drop altitude alongside the gushing white water rapids of the Kalani River with the famous ‘Rest House’ providing expansive lawns and terraces overlooking the river with its crystal clear waters and rock pools just beyond your room with separate room access to the river. En-suite bathrooms, Air-Con, bar and great dining are included.
