OVERVIEW Join us in Slovenia for a mountain bike trip that will take us from magnificent snow-clad Alps to the sparkling Mediterranean coastline and through vineyards and caves in the space of just eight days. Slovenia may be tiny (half the size of Switzerland) but it has a diversity of scenery that rivals anywhere in Europe – from the `sound-of-music` scenery of the Julian Alps to the wine-terraced hills of the Karst, from the surreal turquoise waters of the river Soca, to `green waves` (hills) of the mysterious Istria region, from Panonian-style farmhouses to ancient Venetian harbor towns.
Using a route that provides us with 70% off-road trails, we`ll experience the very best of Slovenia`s breathtaking scenery and endearing culture. In addition to exhilarating mountain biking you`ll receive expert instruction from our qualified instructors, go on a unique 5km underground mountain bike ride, spend an afternoon exploring the world-renowned Skocjan caves, and enjoy lively evenings in our carefully selected hotels, restaurants and B&Bs.

INSTRUCTION Our Slovenia mountain bike tour is ideal for mountain bikers of all abilities who wish to develop their all-round riding skills. Our expert instructors will work with you to develop your riding technique, your confidence, and your technical knowledge. Beginners will learn critical skills such as: climbing, descending, cornering, balance, and weight distribution. Intermediates will work on these skills as well as more advanced techniques such as drop offs, basic front and back wheel lifts and switchbacks. Our Instructors will also teach you about bike mechanics, maintenance and repairs and responsible trail use.

Chad & Charity (USA): Dixi was a wonderful guide. He knows all of the hidden trails and routes, which is the great thing about having someone local guiding the tours. He not only gave us mountain biking tips but he also gave us an incredible history and geography lesson throughout the tour. He was always willing to answer any questions we had. The other great thing was that he really did make the tour what we wanted it to be and ensured that we fit things in that we wanted to see.
