TERRAIN & WEATHER

Our Mexican Cooking Retreat takes us to the coastal jungle about 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Our cabanas are built into the hillside above the Pacific Ocean, and access is via private walking trails. The casitas are spread out along the hill for maximum privacy, and it is a lovely and invigorating walk down to the beach. This trip is not suitable for people with constrained mobility or impaired eyesight.

Our idyllic jungle location is cooled by the ocean breeze during the months of November through April. Temperatures are warm but comfortable during the day, and can get a little cool at night, especially in January and February.
