In addition to our Central America Surf Adventure in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, we offer two other Costa Rica learning adventures: mountain biking, and biking & surfing .
The region of Central America where Costa Rica and Nicaragua join is a magical place with stunning beaches, friendly people, and some of the best surfing in the world. With warm water and perfect waves, this is the ideal place to learn to surf or to advance to the next level of surfing.
Our Central America Surf Adventure explores the best beaches for beginner and intermediate surfers, with excursions to fabulous 'secret' spots where we may even have the waves to ourselves. Take a break from surfing to discover the beauty of Costa Rica as we take a guided walk through mangrove wetlands and old-growth forest or to see the Olive Ridley sea turtle nesting grounds. In Nicaragua, we'll step back in time and visit a historical colonial Spanish city near the shores of Lake Nicaragua. Evenings will be spent in stylish hotels as we enjoy the local seafood and relax after full days of adventure.
INSTRUCTION: CENTRAL AMERICA SURFING ADVENTURE
Our Central America surf adventure will focus on beginner and early intermediates. Beginners in surfing will be taught everything they need to know to not only catch their first waves, but to ensure they have the confidence and knowledge to continue surfing after the tour is over.

ITINERARY: SURF CENTRAL AMERICA
DAY 1: Arrive in Liberia, Costa Rica
Pick-up from Liberia and drive to Nosara. Check into luxury resort hotel. Relax by the pool and enjoy a welcome dinner.
DAY 2: Surfing Basics, Playa Guiones
Morning and early afternoon surf lessons. Stay at luxury resort hotel.
DAY 3: Surf & Optional Nature Walk
Morning and afternoon surf lesson. Optional nature walk. Stay at luxury resort hotel.
DAY 4: Drive to Nicaragua
Morning drive to Nicaragua. Arrive in San Juan del Sur and check into oceanview resort. Sunset surf session.
DAY 5: Surf Nicaragua
Morning and afternoon surf sessions.
DAY 6: Visit Granada
Day spent in historic Granada.
DAY 7: Surf Nicaragua
Morning and afternoon surf sessions.
DAY 8: Our Central American Surf Trip Ends
Drive back to Liberia, Costa Rica for departures.

Our Central America Surfing Adventure is ideal for those wanting to learn to surf or develop their surfing skills in two world-class surfing destinations. They are perfect for those wanting to experience Costa Rica's wildlife and tropical forests as well as Nicaragua's laid back beaches and culturally rich towns, and rather than just staying at one beach, as many surf camps do. They are ideal for those wanting warm weather & water, boutique accommodation, and a total Central American surf experience.
Please note that we offer this trip year-round, and there is likely to be an hour or two of rain in the afternoons, especially in the summer.
