TRAILS The terrain you’ll experience on the mountain biking portion of our tour is spectacular. Our trails take you through lush rainforest and rolling hillsides. Our instructors will emphasize efficient use of your mountain bike as we navigate through the Costa Rican bush. We will also bike along the famous and scenic trail along the southern shore of Lake Arenal, famous for the abundant wildlife (coatis, monkeys, toucans, and many water birds) and stunning volcanic scenery.
RIVER You will be be kayaking on the beautiful and lush Rio Sarapiqui. The river and surrounding rainforest is the habitat to several different species of monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, river turtles, iguanas, toucans, hummingbirds, woodpeckers and much more. Day 1 on the river will be primarily Class I & II rapids, and Day 2 will be Class II and even a few Class IIIs!
