ITINERARY - BRAZIL SURF CAMP

DAY 1: Arrival at our Brazil Surf Camp

Welcome to southern Bahia! We'll pick you up at Ilheus Airport and bring you to your accommodation, an attractive pousada (small, family-run hotel) set in lush gardens that is just meters from the beach. You can relax or explore the lively fishing village, before sitting down to enjoy a delicious meal in one of the town's many restaurants.

DAY 2: Surf & Chill

Today we'll head to the beach for our first full day of surf instruction with expert surf camp coaches. First-timers will have a lesson on the beach before hitting the white-wash beginner break. Those who have surfed before can head directly to the peeling surf a little farther out. There are a variety of quality breaks and spectacular white-sand beaches within a short drive and quick walk through lush rainforest, and you`ll have the chance to experience many of these during our surf camp. In the evening you can participate in an informal workshop and video coaching session (to discuss anything from understanding tides and currents to how to deal with potentially dangerous situations) before enjoying great seafood & relaxed nightlife in the village.

DAYS 3 & 4: Surf

Our surf camp continues. This morning we'll head to the beach for another day of surfing instruction. When you're not surfing you can relax your tired muscles in a hammock on the beach, explore the surrounding area, practice capoeira on the beach, snack at a beach hut, or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings that you're in. This evening, after the optional video coaching session, head into the village for another great Brazilian meal.

DAYS 5 & 6: Surf

Today we'll head back to the beach for a full day of surfing instruction. By now we're in a pretty good groove of surfing, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying the lush jungle around us. If conditions permit, we'll head out by boat to try deepwater surfing. In the early evening you can partake in the informal workshop and video coaching session before enjoying the local restaurants and bars.

DAY 7: Surf

This morning we'll head straight to the beach for a day of surfing and enjoy our last full day on the water. We'll bring along our tele-lens digital camera and capture all your best surfing moments, which will be made available in a downloadable high resolution picture gallery. Our surf lesson ends early today - perfect timing for last minute gift shopping before enjoying the last night on the town.

DAY 8: Brazil Surf Camp Ends

Today we'll pack up and head to Ilheus Airport for our flights home.
